What is a Local Area Plan?
A local area plan identifies and guides where and how future growth and change should happen within a specific area. It aims to integrate and enhance the existing fabric of communities as redevelopment occurs to ensure the area is vibrant and thriving in the future.
How is North Glenmore affected by the West Elbow Communities Local Area Plan?
Only residents living north of Glenmore Trail are included in this Local Area Plan. Those residing south of Glenmore Trail will be included in a separate Local Area Plan in the future. Residents living within the City of Calgary’s West Elbow Communities Local Area Planning boundaries will have opportunities to provide input and feedback over the next 2 – 3 years.
